Field Leader – Hiking Courses in November

Three Field Leader – Hiking Courses will be offered in November in Chester Basin, Halifax and Truro. Participants receive Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC) national certification in Field Leader – Hiking. The cost is $100 ($90 for current paid Hike NS members). The course is offered through Hike Nova Scotia in partnership with the OCC and supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness. Become a Walkabout Community Leader – upcoming training

Heart&Stroke Walkabout™ will be hosting VIRTUAL Leader Training sessions that will support you in the role of volunteer walking leader. The Walkabout Community leader training session will happen from the comfort of your home or office on October 27th or Nov 17th from 11:30am to 1:00pm and again for leaders from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

All you need is a computer with internet access and a phone. There is no charge to participate in this walking leader training. Please RSVP to [email protected] as soon as possible to reserve your space or ask any questions.
