Calling all Heart&Stroke Walkabout members, Heart&Stroke Walkabout is walking places at the 2011 Bluenose Marathon, May 20-22, 2011
You can participate in one of two easy ways:
1) Enjoy a fun walk and raise awareness of Heart&Stroke Walkabout. Our vision is a revitalized culture of walking in Nova Scotia by putting feet back on the streets and walking back in the hearts and minds of Nova Scotians.
You can participate in a group walk (5km, 10km, ½ marathon or even full marathon). Walkabout Thunder Stix will be available for walkers and spectators to cheer on the participants. Please find more information about the Bluenose Marathon.
For more information on how to receive your thunder stix for the Marathon contact:

2) Or take part in the charity challenge and raise money in support of Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Each participant who raises at least $50 for HSFNS will be provided with a Walkabout t-shirt. Join our team and make a difference! Put your heart (and feet!) into it on Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 as part of our third annual team in the Scotiabank Group Blue Nose Charity Challenge! Help make a difference in the fight against heart disease and stroke by supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia’s team! The quest to fight heart disease and stroke requires support from all walks of life, all ages and all fitness levels. Whether you want to walk or run, we want you to join our Blue Nose Charity Challenge Team for May 2011! Run or walk the 5k, 10k, half or full marathon, or even the Youth run – there is something for everyone! If you are interested in helping to raise much needed funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia while you train for an event during the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon 2011, contact us for more information!
