Walkabout at WorkWalkabout at Work is a fun extension to the Walkabout Leader program intended for those who wish to support walking at work. Walkabout at Work leaders can contribute to creating a culture of walking in Nova Scotia in several key ways: - Lead a Walkabout at Work group in person or virtually
- Advocate for the adoption of workplace walking policies
- Advocate/support stair climbing policies and activities
- Advocate for active transportation to/from work (walking, carpooling, etc.)
We want to get feet back on the streets, hallways and stairwells and walking back in the minds and hearts of Nova Scotians. In June 2009, we trained 50 leaders through Walkabout at Work Leader Orientations and another 79 more were trained in spring 2010. To date, 32 more Walkabout at Work leaders have been trained in 2011. Upcoming Leader Orientations: Check back for upcoming Walkabout at Work Leader Orientations! Are you ready to take the next step?
