Become a Workplace Leader

Walkabout at Work workplace encourages and supports staff to “step up” their workday routines; partake in active transportation; create policy change; and go for active breaks, lunchtime walks or walking meetings.

We offer leader orientation sessions for workplaces interested in supporting more walking throughout the workday.  By participating in a Walkabout at Work VIRTUAL leader training session you will be able to:

  • lead a Walkabout at Work group in person or virtually
  • encourage the adoption of workplace walking policies (e.g. stair accessibility, active transportation to/from work, walking meetings etc.)
  • lead the development of workplace walking activities (e.g. walking challenges or contests)
  • provide ongoing motivation to co-workers
