Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Licensed Professional Planners of Nova Scotia are excited to announce their call for applications from artists to create an original art piece to be used as recognition of a Walkabout Award. The image must portray walkable environments, tell a walking story, impact the viewer, and change the way we see walking.
What is needed?
An original art piece to be purchased by the Heart and Stroke Foundation at the cost of $500.00. The art piece will remain property of Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Heart and Stroke Foundation will be responsible for a limited edition reproduction of 15 prints.
How to apply:
Applicants must be a resident of Nova Scotia.
Each applicant must apply by expressing intent to [email protected] no later than November 20, 2016 with digital representations of at least 3 pieces of previous artwork.
Please indicate your typical artistic mediums (e.g. paint, pencil/marker, digital, mixed-media, photo).
Please provide your name, company name (if applicable), contact information and any online platforms (website, Instagram, etc.)
Applicants will receive an email notification when their application is received. The Walkabout Award committee will choose the most applicable artwork by November 20, 2016 and will be in contact with the preferred artist by November 30, 2016. Heart and Stroke Foundation and the artist will discuss the concept and technical specifications then the artist will provide a rough sketch for approval. Artwork will then be due for delivery on January 16, 2017.
