Community planning and development have great implications for health and the state of the environment. Walking is the most accessible form of active transportation for the average person of any age, yet Nova Scotia’s communities have much need for improving the availability, safety and convenience of walking routes.
This FREE workshop, for planners and others, is about making our communities more walkable for everyone, from children to seniors. It will address the state of walkability in NS and how to improve walkability in the areas of planning and infrastructure.
This workshop has been assigned 6 Continuous Professional Learning credits (6 CPLs) for attending professional planners.
